To mark the European Antibiotic Awareness Day and World Antibiotic Awareness Week, ECDC is coordinating a 24-hour Global Twitter conversation on 18 November, with the participation of the World Health Organisation headquarter and its Regional Office in Europe, and organisations from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States.

To mark the European Antibiotic Awareness Day and World Antibiotic Awareness Week, ECDC is coordinating a 24-hour Global Twitter conversation on 18 November, with the participation of the World Health Organization headquarter and its Regional Office in Europe, and organizations from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. 

Join the conversation by posting #AntibioticResistance from Twitter –- interact and discuss with experts on how to fight antimicrobial resistance and keep antibiotics effective.

Live-event tweeting - #EAAD2016

This year, ECDC and its partners will host a live-event tweeting from the EAAD launch event on 18 November, from 9.30 to 13:00 CET. You can follow it via web stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNSZLH0jOfQ&feature=youtu.be and post your comments and questions in Twitter using the hashtag #EAAD2016. 

Experts from ECDC are joined by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe, the European Commission (DG for Health and Food Safety and DG Research and Innovation), the European Medicines Agency and the European Food Safety Authority in tweeting about the event and interacting through Twitter.
